General Goldendoodle Puppy Information
Colorado Doodlebugs provides families with information about our Goldendoodle puppies, including puppy care, health, vaccinations, socialization, pickup, transportation, and what to expect when bringing your new puppy home.
We raise English Goldendoodles in the following average sizes year around:
*F1 and F1b full size standard (over 50 lbs and 21-26 inches tall) cream, black, blue merle
*F1 medium mini (30-50 lbs and 18-20" tall) apricot, red, tan
*F1b and Multigen medium mini (30-50 lbs and 18-20" tall) cream, red, black, blue merle, parti colors, tan
*F1b Petite mini (18-35 lbs and 15-18" tall) cream, apricot, tan, red
*Multigen petite mini (15-25 lbs ) red, black, blue merle, parti colors
We do not raise the tiny "toy" or "micro mini" Goldendoodles due to increased health problems
**Note: Final size category of a dog will be determined at adulthood and is measured at the withers. Please be aware that the estimated size of a puppy by the breeder is an educated guess; therefore, a puppy’s final size may vary somewhat from the breeder’s initial calculation.
Puppy Pricing & Deposit
Our puppies are $2,800. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to join the waitlist for a future puppy. The remaining $2,600 balance is due when your puppy goes home at 8–9 weeks of age.
Deposits are refundable only if we are unable to provide the puppy you are looking for.
Deposits can be paid by check, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay.
Available Puppies
If we have puppies available now, they are first come, first served. You do not need to fill out an application for a puppy that is currently available.
Simply contact me to set up a time to meet the puppies. You can see our currently available puppies at the top of the Puppies page on our website.
Upcoming Litters & Waitlist
If you're interested in a puppy from an upcoming litter, please fill out our Application and let us know that you'd like to join the waitlist.
Submitting an application does not automatically place you on the waitlist. The application simply gives us your information and helps us understand what you're looking for.
To officially join a waitlist, a $200 deposit is required. If you'd like to move forward with a deposit, please contact me by email or text. Payments cannot be made through the website.
We maintain a separate waitlist for each Goldendoodle size. With one deposit, you can choose to be added to one or multiple size waitlists, depending on your preferences.
How Our Waitlist Works
We use a consecutive waitlist, meaning puppy requests are filled in the order deposits are received.
We have puppies throughout the year, and occasionally have puppies available right away. If you have very specific preferences, your wait may be up to 6 months. Merle puppies can have a longer wait simply because we have fewer of them available.
When your turn comes, I'll let you know which puppies are available. You can choose from those puppies or defer your deposit to a future litter if you're waiting for a better match.
Choosing Your Puppy
Puppy selections are typically made between 6–8 weeks of age, in the order deposits were received. Puppies go home between 8–9 weeks of age.
If your puppy stays with us beyond 9 weeks, there is a $25 per day extended care and boarding fee.
Registration & Breeding Rights
Golden Retrievers:
Puppies are sold with AKC Limited Registration. Full AKC registration with breeding rights is available for an additional $1,000 fee.
Goldendoodles:
Goldendoodles are sold as pets and do not come with registration. Puppies are placed on a spay/neuter contract. Breeding rights are available for an additional fee.
Puppy Transportation
Flight nanny transportation is available within the continental United States.
We do not ship puppies internationally.
What Your Puppy Goes Home With
Our puppies will have started crate training and should be sleeping through most of the night when they go home.
They will also be litter box trained. This does not mean they are fully potty trained in the house, but it gives them a great start with learning where to go.
Before going home, each puppy will:
-
Receive a veterinary health check
-
Receive their first vaccinations
-
Be dewormed
-
Have their dewclaws removed
-
Be microchipped with information to register the chip in your name
Your going-home packet will include:
-
Puppy Survival Guide
-
Puppy Handbook
-
Purchase Agreement
-
Puppy Medical Record
Each puppy also goes home with a going-home bag that includes starter puppy food if needed, toys, treats, and a small blanket with Mama's scent.
